And, We're Back!!

from Beautiful Mexico!

Last Thursday we left out of Mobile, Alabama aboard the Carnival Fantasy and set sail for Mexico thanks to my wonderful mother in law, Beth, who surprised her children along with their spouses AND grandchildren with a cruise for Christmas-there were 16 of us all together. We had an amazing time and the trip just flew by!! Here is a quick recap of all that we did

Bon Voyage!!

Friday we had a whole day at sea. It was a little cold and overcast but we didn't let that stop us from enjoying the Lido Deck!

Friday night was the Captain's Dinner which was the formal night. We also celebrated Jep's Birthday with a little help from our favorite server, Fredrick!

Cheers!

Happy Birthday 28th Birthday Jep!

Or, as they would say in Mexico, Feliz Cumpleanos!!

On Saturday we reached our port of call--Cozumel, Mexico!

While in Cozumel, a few of us started off with a catamaran/snorkeling trip that also stopped at a small, private beach.

Behind us is our catamaran turned booze cruise

We also made a stop at the infamous Carlos and Charlie's. I must say this place is something else!

And, no cruise is complete without a little gambling, karoaking, dancing and A LOT of eating!!! Below are a few more of my favorite pictures from the trip!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow...

On Friday (2/12) we got a huge surprise! SNOW!!! It actually snowed quite a bit in Alabama with reports of 4 inches in Birmingham. I must say, this girl from the Midwest, was very excited for the big surprise. I have to admit that snow has been something that I do miss a little bit.

Dread was not too sure about the cold, white stuff...it took a lot of coaxing to get him out in it

The weatherman is calling for another winter storm starting tonight at midnight and we are currently under a "Winter Storm Warning ." So we'll see if we get hit with another day of snow!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!!!!!

XOXO

GO HORSE!!

Tomorrow is the big day!!! The Indianapolis Colts will be playing the New Orleans Saints in Super Bowl XLIV! I am so excited and cannot wait! Let's hope my boys can pull out another big win! I've spent today prepping for tomorrow like getting my game day gear ready and putting together a good Super Bowl menu. I even made Colts inspired cookies with my brand new cookie press.

Side note: My mom got me a cookie press for my birthday. When I was younger it was big tradition to make Spritz Cookies for Christmas and to this day I can still remember how excited I got when my mom would pull out all the supplies to make these cookies.

So, in honor of the Indianapolis Colts here are my Colts Spritz Cookies (Due to time contraints, I could not get a horseshoe shaped disk so I had to improvise.)

And, Jep and I at Jets v. Colts 12/27/09. Unfortunately, this was the Colts' first loss during their almost undefeated season. We still had a great time though!!!

LET'S GO COLTSSSSS!!!!!!
