It is so hard to believe that you are now 8 months old! It seems like just yesterday I was writing your 6 month old post. So much has changed in the past 2 months. You are just growing up way too fast!!
I'd have to say your biggest accomplishment since the last update is that you've started crawling! Just a few days shy of your 8 month birthday you mastered this skill.You are a fast little thing! You are so happy that you can now go where you want to go. And, you seem to go for everything you shouldn't have. For example, magazines, cell phones, computer cords, Dread's toys, the remote control, Keurig K-Cups... are just a few of your favorites. You have tons of toys but for some reason you would much rather play with things that are not yours. I've even tried to trick you by giving you my old cell phone to play with but you are too smart to know that it doesn't work and would much rather the real thing.
You had your first ear infection about a week ago. Bless your little heart. You sure were pitiful for a couple days. You were very clingy and I even got to rock you to sleep one night. You usually are Miss Independent and would much rather be on the go or able to look at everything around you rather than just letting me rock you to sleep. It was such a sweet moment and I could have slept in that chair with you on my chest all night!
You weigh 19 lbs and 6 oz! And, you've just started wearing size 4 diapers. I can't believe how big you are. You are wearing some 9 month clothes still but a lot of the things you wear now are size 12 months!! You are such a healthy little (big) girl!
You have 6 teeth!! Yes, 6!!! 3 on the top and 3 on the bottom.
You are doing pretty well with your pureed foods. We've been introducing more and more varieties and mixing it up. You seem to like pretty much everything we give you. You do okay with Puffs. You like to pick them up, put them in your mouth, and then spit them out. You've also discovered that if you put your hand down while in your highchair, Dread will come up and lap whatever is all over your hands. This makes you laugh and you've made it a little game. I know Dread cannot wait for the day that you are throwing chicken fingers and real food down to him. He'll love you even more than he already does! :)
You've learned to wave! You open and close your hand now as if you are waving. Whenever I say, "hi" you start opening and closing your hand.
Some things you currently love:
*Singing Babies and Praise Baby DVDs. If Papa and/or I need some time to do something around the house we pop in one of these DVDs and you are instantly in a trance. :)
*Loud noises. Your face lights up when I start my hair dryer or turn on the Baby Bullet blender.
*Bubble baths.
*Being outdoors.
*Since crawling, your new found freedom and ability to explore.
*Your Papa's silliness.
*Books. You like to turn the pages yourself.
*When momma sings the Itsy-Bitsy Spider and the ABC's.
*Watching other kids and seeing babies. You are very social and nosy! :)
