All About Dread

A lot of people have been asking how Dread likes the new house and having his own yard... Well, here are a few photos of what he's been up to since we've moved in.

Dread loves being outside and soaking up the sun
(even though he looks like he wants to come in)

He couldn't wait to get out of that tub!

Introducing Ollie Pearl

For those of you wondering who the adorable baby girl is on the side of my page is... well, that is our newest niece, Ollie Pearl, John and Lynsey's daughter. Ollie was born two days after Jep and I were married. (She attended our wedding while still in her mama's belly) :) On Thursday, John, Lynsey, and Ollie spent the night while on their way up to Birmingham. It was so GREAT seeing them. I can't believe how big Ollie has gotten and how much she has changed since we last saw her! She is just ADORABLE! John, Lynsey, and Ollie weren't our only visitors on Thursday. I can't forget to mention the other DuBose clan. Kyle, Amy, Kylie, Jayce, Kaitlyn, and Kristian came over for a visit as well. We had a full house to say the least!!

Back to Blogging

I know it's been awhile since I've posted. We have been SO BUSY getting settled in the house and are still waiting on our internet to get set up. *Fingers crossed we will have it by tomorrow* It seems like the move-in process is one that will never-end! Everytime I turn around there is more to be unpacked and put in it's place. Who would have thought we'd have so much stuff after living in a one bedroom apartment!!!

This past weekend was spent on the outside of the house. Jep bought a brand new lawn mower and mowed our sod for the very first time. It was exciting! And, the grass looks great now! We also went to Home Depot and Lowe's and bought some flowers. I am trying to soak up all the information I can about gardening and landscaping now that I have a backyard to try my hand at it. It turns out that gardening takes some planning and preparation- you can't just dig a hole, plant some seeds, and wait for it to grow! Hahah-who would have thought?! I did however, plant some hydrangas on the side of the house and am hoping for the best! Eventually, I'd like to start a garden but I still need to do some more research first.

A few of our most recent pics...

Jep recently switched units within the National Guard. He is now a Platoon Leader with the 186th Engineers in Dothan, AL and he found out his unit is the #1 unit to be called for storm/hurricane relief. Two weekends ago, I went down to Dothan for "Family Day." Jep was volunteered to be a participant in the "dunk tank." It was hilarious!

So Long, Apartment...Hello, New House!

Just checking in...it's been awhile since I've posted. Since my last post, Jep, Dread, and I have moved into the new house!!!! We are beyond thrilled and have been loving every minute of it. It sure has been a big change from the 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment we finally got out of. We had a goal of being moved in by July 4th and we did it!!

We still don't have internet (we are currently "borrowing" it from our neighbor) so I just wanted to make a quick post to keep everyone updated. Once we get our own internet I'll be sure to post some pictures.

We hope everyone had a GREAT 4th of July!
