Fun Weekend!

Grammy came in town for a visit this weekend!

As always, she brought lots of presents for Miss Lilah including an early Easter basket. Here is Lilah with her big stuffed bunny from Grammy and Grandpa.

After a day full of shopping for party supplies...(we have started preparations for Lilah's 1st birthday)...we had some fun playing in our pool.

Sunday was another beautiful day so we spent a lot of the day outside doing some more playing while Papa did yardwork.

Lilah just loves her big brother....while, Dread is still pretty much annoyed with her. :) Hopefully, he'll come around when she gets a little older and knows better than to pull at his tail and ears.

Cricut Craftiness

I got my Cricut for my birthday last year. At first, I loved it and was hooked. After awhile I sort of forgot about it...until, I was introduced to the program "Sure Cuts A Lot." Now, I can do so much more with my machine. Here are some of my latest projects... how cute are these?! All of these containers/items cost either $2.50 or less!

I got these adorable little tins from the dollar section at Target. I'm working on making them as gift baskets for each of Lilah's teachers as a "thank you" once she moves to the next class.

Dave Ramsay Would Not Be Proud...

Last weekend I lost my debit card. We couldn't find it anywhere so I cancelled it and requested a replacement. Well...last night it turned up. It was in the lint collector from our dryer! What a crazy place to find the thing! My old card has become one of Lilah's favorite things to carry around.

Cute Baby Contest

Ms. Gwen, one of the teachers at Lilah's school, has been encouraging us to enter Lilah into Birmingham's Cute Baby Contest. Finally after much encouragement, I did it! :) Our sweet little girl made a debut into the Birmingham News this past Sunday--along with about 199 other babies! The competition is tough! There are a lot of cute babies that she is up against--but, of course we think our girl is most definitely the cutest of them all!!

If you'd like to vote for our girl, you can visit the following website: http://www.bhamnews.com/cutebabycontest. It'll cost you to vote, however. Each vote costs 50 cents or $5 minimum for online votes (but that will get you 10 votes! :) ) I don't really like the fact that it costs to vote, but at least the money is going towards a good cause.

Lilah would like to thank Ms. Brenda (one of her dedicated teachers) who is leading her campaign efforts. Ms. Brenda has been rounding up all the teachers at Highlands to make sure they vote for Lilah Belle (#19809). Haha!

First Swim of the Season

The weather has been beautiful! With temps in the mid-80's, I just knew it was time to get baby girl her very own pool. When I first mentioned getting a baby pool, Jep was not too thrilled about the idea. Last year I got a plastic baby pool for Dread (and me) and after that, Jep pretty much banned me from getting baby pools because I was lazy about letting the water out and leaving it on the grass--thus, practically killing the grass underneath the plastic pool. :) Ooops!

However, with all that being said...It was pretty easy to convince Papa to get a baby pool today because I had the help of my sweet baby girl. She has her Papa wrapped around her tiny little finger! :)

Because she is still a wee-one, we opted for a tiny blow up pool fit for one. This one should get us through the spring but we'll definitely need an upgrade for the summer! :)

The water was a little chilly so we had Papa dump in some bowls full of warm water.

Our first swim of the season was a success. This little one stayed in the water 'til she was pruny. :)

Momma G's!

We took Lilah for her very first visit to Momma G's {an Auburn favorite!}. Unfortunately, today's visit wasn't at the Auburn location but hopefully this coming fall Lilah will get to visit the original Momma Goldberg's!

No Momma's Love or nachos with peppers for this girl just yet! She had to stick with milk..poor thing doesn't know what she's missing! :)

Side note: If you're a regular follower of our blog you may have noticed that I haven't done a weekly posting of Lilah lately. Well, it has become nearly impossible to get my little squirmy worm to sit/lay still. With that being said, the weekly photo updates are a thing of the past. It was fun while it lasted. But, my little girl is on the move now and is making this mama work hard to get a good picture!

Littlest Blazer!

Anyone who knows us is well aware that we are raising our sweet baby girl to be an Auburn Tiger. No Nap

Last weekend Jep was at drill so I was doing the solo-mama thing. This little girl was a handful all weekend. :) There was a time on Saturday afternoon when my usual sweet, happy baby was very cranky so I knew it was time for a nap. Just seconds after I put her down...this is how I find her...

...Happy as can be that she has a new trick---standing up in her crib!! Oh my! It is definitely time to lower that crib mattress. She is just growing up way too fast!!

Cottontails: Part 2

Lilah and I had so much fun tagging along with these girls at Cottontails. Since our Grammy couldn't make the trip down this year, we were glad to have some shopping buddies. Thanks to Allison, Claudia, Madeline & Mary for letting us tag along!

First off-how precious is Mary's little Easter outfit?!!!! Too cute!!!
Here she is getting a cast made of her little hand. We didn't get to see the finished product but I heard it turned out really neat! If the "cast man" makes it back to Christmas Village we may just need to get Lilah's hand casted. (Is casted even a word?!) Probably not, oh well!

For the record: I am so incredibly proud of my sweet little angel for not falling apart and breaking down after looking at this bunny. It is the creepiest Easter Bunny I have ever seen! I thought for sure once she looked up and saw it she would scream. But, she did great! That's my girl! :)

And, I just have to say for the record one more time--we missed you like crazy Grammy. We didn't get home with nearly as much stuff as past years. ;) No really--we didn't just miss you spoiling us--we missed your company. We're looking forward to Christmas Village 2012!!!!!
